CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series:
Milk / Yes! Precure 5
In-Game Name: Milk of the Palmier village (shortened to Milk Palmier), but also goes under the aliases of Mimino Kurumi and Milky Rose.
Age: 17 (15 when first apped, 13 in canon)
Gender: Female
Position & Ship: Winding Way, Blacksmith

Appearance: Milk the mascot is a fluffy little pink thing about as tall as a ruler, not counting the big red bow above her front tuft of
fur. She has huge ears that droop down past the floor, but stubby little arms and legs, and her large face has big purple eyes and a constant blush. The tips of her ears and bangs/hair tuft are a light sugar pink, darker than the whitish-pink of the rest of her body. Milk also wears a red ribbon collar with a round yellow circle at the front.

Kurumi the humanoid is a pale young girl whose only connections to her mascot form are big purple eyes and two red ribbons in her hair (one thin and up at the top, one identical to her mascot form's and at the back). Her mauve hair is curly and goes to the bottoms of her shoulder seams, and she pulls a piece at the top back into a bow, giving it a puffed-up look. She wears frilly clothes in this form, attempting to look sophisticated and sometimes succeeding, sometimes not. In both these forms, she's very expressive, making strange faces and flailing her arms if it suits her.

When Kurumi dresses up as Milky Rose, she wants attention, and she's certainly going to get it. For one, she's given herself major hair extensions, her hair now going down past her waist. For another, her "battle costume" is what would be considered in the setting as "heavily modified lingerie". It begins with a strange white corset with dark red laces, which she has cut up to end in a V-shape and show off her midriff, attached thick dark red shoulder straps and frilly gauze cap sleeves, and sewn on a large fake blue rose. The bottom is equally odd, being a pair of tight purple shorts, a fluffy short skirt and dark red frills at the top. With this she wears long fingerless gloves, showy boots with frills and bows, and pearl drop earrings, all in the same shades of cream, white and dark red, along with a hair accessory that can best be described as a gold and blue tiara-hair elastic-circlet hybrid. This is the form in which she takes on a "mysterious ally" persona, and limits herself to cold remarks, glares and the occasional, brief soft smile.

Personality: Milk appears cute and harmless, but it's quick to be seen that she's really a self-important and somewhat snobbish girl who likes to point out others' failings to bring herself up. She sees any position of power as a way to order people around and make them amuse her, rather than a way to help people in need. This is probably a lot of the reason that she created the Milky Rose persona and aims to act like the "secret heroines" in stories; they get to kick butt and then tell off the heroes they saved for being so pathetic.

She is, however, obedient to those above her station, sometimes even sucking up, and will do whatever they ask to get the job done. This especially goes if they're cute, even though this whole thing is about impressing another guy in the first place. Milk has a blushy, dreamy, fangirlish side that manifests with any sufficiently impressive boy or girl, and if there's someone in her way, she'll centre her devious plots on the poor person until they give up and will only stop in the face of Armageddon (and after that, she'll start up again). For a pink fluffball, she certainly is clingy and gets jealous easily.

Milk is also selfish in that she doesn't seem to notice how her attention can bother people if she lavishes too much upon them. She's dedicated to the things she wants but easily bored by anything else, so if she likes you, expect her constantly buzzing around you expecting to be entertained. She hates being lonely and always wants some company when she isn't doing anything important (or when she is).

Although Milk is very good at putting on the aloof "secret heroine" mask over her usual annoying, easily perturbed self, this only applies when things are going her way. When they aren't as planned, she'll quickly revert to her regular self and panic, much as she will deny it later. She also doesn't seem to think very far ahead; she created the Milky Rose persona to keep herself from being blamed for running away, but now wants to gain fame as a heroine in order to attract someone who, thanks to Milk, thinks Milky Rose is an evil thief who abducted his friend. This hasn't even crossed her mind at all. She'll sort it out later... maybe... somehow.

Milk has a thing about ending her sentences with "~miru". Neither of her human forms do. Most people in her town do this with some variation of their name; no one knows why.

Abilities/Weapons:

Weapon Construction - Milk is familiar with the workings of plenty of magical weapons. She constructed them for a lot of important warriors, and also built her own. As for mundane weapons like guns, blades or cannons, she's not as good, but she can work with what she's got. The more time and resources she's given, the better the finished product will be.

Regular Magic - Milk mainly uses wind spells. Most of these don't drain her much at all, but the bigger ones are another story. Her strongest wind attack, "Milky Rose Blizzard!", currently uses up half of the energy she needs to maintain her human form; before she built the Milky Mirror, it used twice that much. This move traps a stationary enemy in the centre of a whirlwind that picks up her scattered rose petals and forms into the shape of a giant blue rose before breaking apart. In canon, this is extremely hax when it wants to be; it's still pretty strong and tears the scenery apart, but here, it won't be tearing people apart.

Milky Mirror - Milky Rose's original weapon, the Milky Palette, resembled a makeup kit, with her mana crystal embedded in the brush pen. This sustained her for over a year, but she recently began to notice that she was using too much power. Since the last thing she wants is to go back to being a mascot all the time, Milk immediately began work on a new one. The Milky Mirror uses the mana crystal's energy more effectively, and also solves the problem of having the brush separate from the body by keeping the crystal right in the middle of its main body. It doesn't look much like a mirror, more like a spinning dial on the end of a short wand and covered in images of roses. The new weapon also draws on an old friend's research (which she took by accident with her own stuff when she was on the run) that explores a theory about enchanting various objects to boost magic. She somehow managed to enchant her electronic journal, of all things, but figured that at least it was portable, so she wouldn't bother redoing the spell on something else. With this, she can channel energy into the Milky Mirror and enhance her original Milky Rose Blizzard (though it still won't one-hit kill Godzilla). The new attack is called Milky Rose Metal Blizzard, the added word coming from the fact that the spell's attribute changes from wind to metal.

Mad Image Skills - Milky Rose puts a lot of effort into doing whatever "secret heroines" do in stories; dynamic entrances, jumping from rooftops, looking pretty while rose petals fall and telling the people she just saved that they suck. Sure, she puts more work into that than actually fighting, but she gets the job done, so it's all good!

Fighting - Rose can fight without magic. In canon, the Blue Rose gave her super strength and super agility, but I'll be toning this down so she doesn't throw grown men across football fields on a regular basis. It feels a bit suish otherwise. She prefers to attack with her elbow, or by jumping into the air and striking there.

Weaknesses:
Jealousy - Milk has so much of this that she practically runs on it. The whole reason she left home was to get rich and famous, impress some guy, and steal him back from someone whom she'd been fighting with earlier over cream puffs. If you have something she wants, she'll make little digs at you, steal your food and hide your stuff until you hand it over. She might make some concessions if you're really serious and the end of the world is fast approaching, but after that's been averted, she forgets all about it and goes back to trying to steal whatever you have. This especially goes for cute, rich, powerful young men and/or women.

Mad Image Skills...? - Yes, there's a downside to this. She puts so much effort into being a "secret heroine" that when she comes across a situation that a secret heroine never finds herself in, she panics and becomes useless. Someone else has been ambushed by a monster? Sure, she'll show up out of nowhere and kick its butt. SHE's been ambushed by a monster? WHAT NO RUN FOR YOUR LIFE THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN SAVE ME MOMMY. Someone needs to broaden her horizons.

Limited Power - There's only one Blue Rose, and Milk wants to hold onto her human form for as long as possible. If it ever runs out of power, she may be in trouble. This conflicts with the notion of showing off your power to the people you just saved, but Milk is sure she can handle it if she only uses the Milky Palette once per battle. Let's see how long that lasts.

Involuntary Transformation - Usually, the transformation from Kurumi to Milk is seamless and planned. However, whenever Kurumi is knocked down or into a wall, she transforms back into Milk. Turning back doesn't take much time, but it takes just enough that it'll cause problems in a heated battle unless all the enemies are paying attention to someone else.

Phone Booth Time! - In canon, Kurumi was a transforming magical girl. Here, she has to run off and change in order to appear as Milky Rose. What's more, she insists on it, simply because that's how things are done.

History: Milk came from a small settlement in Erealia called Palmier. The town had been founded by a race of demihumans in the form of cuddly mascot creatures, after prejudice had run them out of their original homes. Milk grew up normally, friends with the sons of the village leaders, Coco and Nuts, who had inherited the rare ability to transform into humans and were thus poised to become the new leaders. She had a huge crush on each of them, Coco in particular, but they always saw her as a little sister. Then one day, due to a mistake when Nuts was guarding the gate, a monster got through and ravaged the town. The two boys decided to go to the palace of Lord Lumiere, the nearest noble, to ask for help or earn enough money to rebuild, even though they knew that humans might not accept them.

Milk was determined to follow, and presented her skills at crafting magitech to the servants. This got her hired to work with them despite uneasy murmurs, not only for being cute and nonthreatening but also because she was talented at her job. After years of work, she ended up constructing magitech for the bodyguard squad, meaning that she had everything possible at her disposal to build the best weaponry she could make. Of course, she stuck around Coco and Nuts, who had taken the human names Kouji and Natsu to fit in, and, when she wasn't working, would make life miserable for any poor girl who smiled at one of them. All in all, Milk's life was going fine.

Then she got a new assignment. The noble in question had commissioned a new set of weapons for the bodyguards, something stronger, but something that could be disguised as an innocent, nonthreatening item in public. With the magitech and supplies she had on hand, she had on hand, Milk created what she would later call an ingenious collection of weaponry, the Symphony Set, which was tailored to each warrior's style and needs. At the front was the Dream Torch, a weapon for Nozomi, their leader who outclassed all the others. She and Milk had never gotten along ever since Milk stole her cream puffs when she left them out on the table, but it had to be admitted that Nozomi was the strongest mage the group had, so the little creature slaved over the last remaining weapon. After it was done, she noticed that there was one item in the pile that she hadn't remembered was there: a small mana crystal of some sort that, to her little eyes, looked like a blue rose petal. She figured that it could always be used for her next project, and left it at that.

Finally, they were ready to be presented to the guard. Milk walked through the halls that day, feeling proud of herself, when she spotted Nozomi in the gardens blushing and flirting with Kouji. Most people would brush it off as a coincidence, or at least try to. Milk was furious. She stormed back to her workshop in a huff and stewed over this, so caught up in her anger that she forgot to wear protective gear. The mascot thoughtlessly picked up the petal-shaped crystal with her bare paw. The next thing she knew, she felt... different. Maybe it had been her prolonged exposure to magical items throughout her career, but she was sure that it had to do with that one crystal, the one that looked so unusual that she named it the Blue Rose. Whatever it was, Milk knew she had to get back at that upstart who went and stole Coco, and she now had a secret ability to transform. This was when she got her brilliant idea.

She wanted to steal the Dream Torch out of spite, but she couldn't; it was custom-made for Nozomi, not her. So she took the Blue Rose and crafted a brand-new weapon using some of the guidelines for the Symphony Set but throwing some out; the ability to combine the five weapons, for example, became the ability to modify her own weapon, the Milky Palette. In all her anger, Milk knew that it wouldn't be good to run away with it where it was obvious that she had done it herself, so she never let anyone else know about the Palette or her transformation. When she did disappear with the Palette, she was in her human form, dressed in an odd costume adorned with rose petals, and made a show of it. The newspapers spoke about a mysterious thief calling herself Milky Rose who had brazenly entered the palace, kidnapped the weapons maker and stolen a mana crystal. There might still be whispers in the street, but they were conjecture, and no one knew better.

Taking the alias of Mimino Kurumi, a foreign human girl, she travelled around for a bit, seeking treasure and fame as Milky Rose (and passing as a plushie to be taken home so she could steal food and have a place to sleep). Her somewhat-thought-out plan is to have Rose become famous, respected and feared, then return as Kurumi to steal Coco back from that ditz Nozomi. When she spotted a theatre ship in the harbour, she knew that this was the perfect chance, especially upon seeing that they needed someone to repair their weapons. The plan was ready, and she just needed to make a name for herself on the main continent. This hasn't gone so well. While Milky Rose has made appearances here and there, sometimes even fighting evil, she still has the reputation of a thief and kidnapper, something Milk isn't sure what to do about. However, she doesn't want to leave just yet, mostly because she's gone tsundere for a good portion of the Way's crew. At present, only those on the Way know that Milk = Kurumi = Milky Rose.

SAMPLES-
Third Person (roleplay):

Milk was bored.

She had already done everything interesting that she could possibly think of: bothered everyone she liked, bothered everyone she didn't like, raided the kitchen for sweets, sent her laundry down and bothered everyone again. Oh, and done her job. There hadn't been much to do, though. The cannons had needed a bit of repairing, but nothing she couldn't handle, and the ship was fine. It actually took less time to fix things nowadays, with the whole transformation thing. Being small let her see mistakes more easily to fix them, but overall, her job was a whole lot easier with opposable thumbs.

The Milky Palette hadn't needed fixing either. Oh, she did a maintenance check on it anyways - after all, it was her weapon and her ticket to changing forms like a normal whatever-she-was, and if she broke it, she was stuck. But there weren't any problems, so there was nothing to do, so Milk was back where she started: being bored.

Well, there was only one thing to do. The big-eared fluffball hopped onto the desk, grabbed a pencil half her size and used the eraser end to push the faraway keys. She liked her humanoid form, but sometimes it just felt better to go around as Milk.

About fifteen minutes later, she looked up and pouted.

"I have no idea how to send this ~miru."

First Person (journal):

This is a public announcement that I didn't steal the plate of cream puffs from the kitchen. They were just lying around. Anybody could have taken them and it wouldn't be called stealing. I rightfully took them, so get your own. If I--

Ow! Hey! Who threw something at me ~miru? Hmph. I'll just finish writing like this ~miru.

Anyway, I want to send someone a letter (or maybe three hundred, but that's just because I know he wants to hear from me) and there better be a good way to do that while I'm supposed to be kidnapped by myself ~miru. I would just send it on the mail plane, but it only goes home once a year and THAT TAKES TOO LONG ~MIRU. Things shouldn't be inconvenient at all ~miru! Definitely shouldn't! After all, because I'm a heroine of justice--

Hey! Somebody took my cream puffs back ~miru! Those were mine now!
