...and now for the OTHER bandwagon, the relationship meme post! You probably all think she's annoying and she probably thinks you're all in her way, but let's do this anyway.
You may be happy to learn that Jianliang has inspired Milk to write ten postcards a day, each, to every person back home whom she actually likes. Otherwise, she thinks he's a little too emo and wonders why he got freaked out that she abandoned her home over a love rejection, but she's shallow like that.
Yes, actually, he would be very pleased. The reason that Jen is on the Way is because he's looking for a friend who left suddenly. He'd have appreciated a letter our something himself, so he thinks he knows what Milk's friend is going through.
Also, he thinks that Milk is a little childish, but not in a bad way. If they get to know each other more, he'd probably treat her like a younger sister (even is she's older than him). -_-;
(Watched the show since it came out in Japan. And I'm a bit obsessed with orthodoxy. ♥)
Right on the money there. She needs to control her impulses more and stop brushing off other people. Of course, since this is Milk, she'll only do it temporarily, and only if the fate of three or more worlds is at stake at the time.
She thinks that he thinks too much and overcomplicates things, but at least he's not annoying like most people. And the overthinking somewhat reminds her of Karen, so yes! One of the more-liked people in a sea of disliked people.
What we have here is a classic clash of annoying, easily offended girls with no regard for other people and no respect for anyone but themselves. Milk and Yuffie are too similar for the former to admit, which leads to name-calling and behind-the-back sniping (plus the fact that Yuffie thinks her secret heroine act is creepy is a Major Offense to Milk's person). On the flip side, it might not happen often, but their similarity means that Milk can relate to Yuffie's self-importance, klepto tendencies, and regret for what's happened to the people around her in the past. ...She just won't say anything nice to her very often.
But yeah--I very much agree. Although Yuffie pretty much hates Milk with a passion because of the very fact that there is a high risk that she'll steal her thunder, there's a lot of competition between the two. However, when it boils right down to it, Yuffie wouldn't ever let the girl fall into serious danger, or any situation that'd involve it. There is a line drawn between a battle of wits and...well, full out battle, right? She can acknowledge that.
...but. You know. Yuffie will probably still try to kick her ass in as many ways as possible. Don't take it too personally. :>
Sophie, Sophie, Sophie. Milk simply doesn't understand why someone would want to be simplistic or practical when they could be flashy and showy every minute of the day. She finds Sophie a little weird for this reason, but at least she's not useless or anything and she helps people out when they need it... okay, that didn't help Nozomi, but Nozomi sucks at everything and stole the boy she's been chasing for years so instant haet. Sophie is marginally better.
Likewise, Sophie doesn't understand why someone would want to be flashy and showy every minute of the day. Just hope she doesn't get ahold of Milk's petal dye or anything. Unless Milk wants it to do something weird.
But! While she thinks Milk is completely ridiculous, she does appreciate that she wants to help people, in her own weird way, even if the way she goes about it is completely opposite from Sophie.
Basically, Milk is like the female version of Howl. Minus the skirt-chasing, of course.
On one hand, now that he has a lot more power than he did before, Milk will be sucking up to L a great deal more. On the other hand, she finds it annoying how he always points out and punishes her selfishness. So what if she wants to eat his candy, or anyone else's? It was just sitting there.
Tohru is kind of boring, she thinks, and a little annoying in enforcing the kitchen rules, putting her in the same category as L without the sucking up to rank. Still, Tohru has also been nice to her, and she's a bit of a pushover, so Milk can't hate her or anything. She just finds her somewhat strange.
